Repeating Ids

Best Microsoft Access Programmer Portland OR

Hi,

I have a access file where I fill a form with diverse information about persons, that generates a unique ID for each one, so that I can send that information via e-mail with the unique ID as subject of the e-mail.

Lately the access database started to repeat the unique IDs, and it doesn’t save some new entries in the database, sending the emails with the new information but with old ids.

Any idea of what is happening?

Thanks

Auto-Population

Best Microsoft Access Programmer Portland OR

Hi,

I am trying to create an auto-filled field on my table that is dependant on the selection from another input field.

The deciding field has 5 possible options, from this I need the output field to reference a secondary table to look up the required data point.

I am unsure how to do this, and reading things on google is making my head spin.

Could someone walk me through how to do this please?

Thanks.

Report not showing chart

Best Microsoft Access Programmer Portland OR

So I built a report with a chart driven by a query

When I run the report the chart is not shown. In design view, the chart is not there.

However I sent the same database to a colleague and it works for them. I.e. they can run the report and get a chart back.

They zipped and sent the database back to me. But when I use this version I still have the same problem. The report in design mode is missing the

Legitimate geniuses like Ta-Nehisi Coates and Thom Yorke are both in town, Lucy Dacus and Sara Bareilles are exciting minds and stirring heartstrings in their own unique ways, Comedy Bang … Read More

Parent (Single) Form Resize to fit Dynamic (Continuous) SubForm?

Best Microsoft Access Programmer Portland OR

Unfortunately my searches didn’t bring me much luck so I’m resorting to my fellow redditors for some assistance. I am looking to resize the parent form’s detail section to fit the size of the subform control without using any scrollbars.

Basically, I have a subform (sfrmEmployeeAttendanceSummary) continuous form that lists the total hours for each absence codes used for an individual in the current month. While there are many codes that may be used, it is unlikely it would exceed more than 5 different

After a long, trying season, the Portland Timbers find themselves back in the MLS Cup Playoffs — looking to launch another memorable, underdog run when they face Real Salt Lake on Saturday night in Sandy (7 p.m., TV on ESPNews).

The Opponent

Off the field, this season was a mess for Real Salt Lake. Their manager Mike Petke shouted homophobic slurs at the referee of a friendly match against Tigres in August, was fired, and is now suing … Read More

For Portland rapper/singer Dodgr (AKA Alana Chenevert, and FKA the Last Artful, Dodgr), the road to success may have been strewn with some personal heartbreak, but it’s also characterized by an increasingly positive reception from listeners, industry players, and hip-hop concertgoers—and for damn good reason. Having parted ways with record label EYRST in 2016 and shelving the “Last Artful” moniker that was tied to her joint project with producer Neill Von Tally, Dodgr has embarked … Read More

I don’t consider myself a hypersexual person but I do want a sexual relationship. My current boyfriend I have been with for about eight years and I love him deeply. He is my best friend. But he hasn’t been in the mood for any sexual encounters (including just making out) for over a year. It started as a relatively slow decline probably about three years ago. I would try to initiate something but more often than not be rejected. Three years

Need to use Access, but frustrated

Best Microsoft Access Programmer Portland OR

Several years ago I began using MS Access for my job. I built some solutions quickly that helped us tremendously.

Fast forward to now. In a web-based environment where so much can be accessed virtually, I find it very frustrating that I have to buy an install-per-machine version of Access in order to use it.

I need to build a small database that will track customer and the purchases that they’ve made. It’s fairly simple, with tables that will track customers, products, and several
