Disclaimer: I’m no Access expert at all. Good at spreadsheets, but I have a working knowledge of Access, not the ability to create databases, queries, and reports from scratch.
I’m managing a set of databases that were created by a former employee. They generally compact and repair when closed, but a few of them have been left open overnight and became corrupted due to power loss. There are multiple reports (all the same for each) in each database. Those reports in the corrupted databases no longer function correctly – even the “homescreen” that popped up when opening no longer appears. The databases are separated by years in which the data was initiated. Should I look at a way to copy the functioning reports into the current database that has the most up-to-date data, or will I need to copy data into an older database that has functioning reports?
