I’m drowning

Best Microsoft Access Programmer Portland OR

This is my first time making a form and I’ve watched tutorials but I’m struggling. I have the back end set up with 7 tables.

I’m trying to create a form on the front end that can pull from these tables with a drop down box, can input data into a table from a button press and a drop down, and can have date and time input and recorded.

I am so lost and don’t know where to start.

Fareless Trimet

If you’re on I, Anonymous then you likely entered the same url as I did to visit the site and you similarly were greeted by a Blogtown article about Trimet considering going fareless. If you haven’t read it – don’t worry it really doesn’t say much. I am a bus driver. I’ve driven for Trimet now for a little more than four years. The company structure doesn’t go without it’s own issues (what does?) but I will say the union is very … Read More

Urgent issue opening a database…

Best Microsoft Access Programmer Portland OR

I made a split database (backend, front end) that collected data via lookup tables associated with the data entry form. Not all entries were drop-down options; users could write in their own values for some entries. I have a ‘main’ data form that the lookup tables had once linked to for data entry…i.e. a column in Design View with a list of numbers, and a column in Design View with the text values that users will be able to choose from in the data

True/False from another table

Best Microsoft Access Programmer Portland OR

Hello everyone. I have two tables. Accounts and Work Hours. On the accounts table, I have a checkbox field called billable. On the work hours table, users input the date and select the account from a picklist of accounts. I need a true or false column that references the billable checkbox on the accounts table to populate true/false or checked/unchecked if the billable box on the accounts table was checked at the time they added the record into the work hours table. I’ve looked

My partner and I have been together for five months. Before this romance, we had a deep friendship that spanned two years. During our time as friends, I made it very known that I wanted us to try dating because we have chemistry, similar goals, and are compatible in many ways, including sexually. He was not available to date anyone, including me, because he was not over a break up with an ex of nearly ten years. She moved away in

Can You Point Me Towards Best Practices for "Relation Tables"

Best Microsoft Access Programmer Portland OR

I recently watched an “Access Best Practices” video on YouTube, and one topic intrigued me. They mentioned that if you have two tables that are potentially related by a “many-to-many” relationship, you can create a “relational table” which simply tracks the individual relationships. They gave the example of having a “Books” table and an “Authors” table. One author can write many books, and one book can have many authors, hence the “many-to-many” relationship. So they recommended creating a “tblBooksAndAuthors” table that just had fields
